Compensation, Supervision & Professional Growth
At Hey, You Need Therapy, we’re committed to creating a sustainable and affirming environment for both early-career and experienced clinicians. Below is a breakdown of our compensation model and professional development structure.
Master’s Level & Associate Licensed Clinicians
This includes those holding licenses such as LMSW, LAPC, LPC-A, or LMFT-A.
Compensation:
Standard split: 60/40 (clinician receives 40% of session fees).
Self-pay sessions start at $150, but you are welcome to set a rate aligned with your experience in consultation with Hadiya.
Insurance rates vary based on the payer, typically ranging from $80 to $185 per session.
Payments are issued twice monthly via direct deposit.
Supervision & Support:
Weekly clinical consultation is provided to support licensure and skill-building.
You’ll also have access to case consultation and group learning spaces, depending on your needs and goals.
For master’s level and associate-licensed clinicians, if your license requires something we cannot provide internally, we’ll help you locate and secure a board-approved clinical supervisor, with attention to cost, specialty, and fit.
Growth Opportunities:
CEU Reimbursement & Certification Support:
We can discuss providing annual CEU stipends or reimbursements to help you pursue continuing education, licensure renewal, and specialty certifications aligned with our mission (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care). We also circulate vetted, accessible CEU opportunities throughout the year.Specialty Development & Niches:
If you’re passionate about building a niche or running a group, we’re open to collaborating on a path forward. We want your creativity and expertise to shine—whether that’s in couples, children, family work, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ mental health, neurodiversity-affirming care, or something else entirely.Opportunities for a higher revenue split are available after your first 6–12 months, based on:
Clinical performance and documentation.
Client retention and caseload stability.
Increased autonomy and reduced supervisory need.
Fully Licensed Clinicians
This includes those holding licenses such as LCSW, LPC, LMFT.
Compensation:
Split begins at 60/40 (clinician receives 60% of session fees), with room to increase based on:
Caseload consistency and client retention
Leadership contributions (e.g., mentoring associates, leading groups)
Specialized services or niche development
Flexibility to set your own self-pay rate, with $150 as the practice-wide standard benchmark.
Insurance session reimbursement typically falls between $80–$185, depending on the insurer and CPT codes billed.
Payments are issued twice monthly via direct deposit.
Autonomy & Collaboration:
You’ll have more autonomy in how you structure your schedule, manage your caseload, and tailor your clinical approach.
Optional case consultation, clinical peer check-ins, and opportunities for growth within the practice are available.
Leadership & Mentorship Roles:
Interested in supervising, mentoring, or leading initiatives? We welcome fully licensed clinicians to take on clinical leadership or peer consultation roles, with potential for additional compensation or split adjustments.Niche Building & Program Development:
Want to launch a therapy group, workshop series, or explore a specialty population? We’ll collaborate with you to design, market, and fill your niche services within the practice’s infrastructure.CEU & Certification Support:
Fully licensed clinicians are eligible for possible CEU reimbursements or stipends to support advanced training and certifications that align with our mission and your goals. Eligibility is based on tenure, alignment with practice needs, and budget availability.
Additional Notes
All clinicians are onboarded with clarity around documentation, no-show/cancellation policies, EHR systems, and client communication guidelines.
