Hadiya Barlatier-Johnson, MS, LPC, NCC
Hadiya Barlatier-Johnson is the founder and lead mental health collaborator at Hey, You Need Therapy (HYNT). A neurodivergent psychotherapist originally from New York City and now based in Georgia, Hadiya is licensed in Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida. As part of a military family, she knows what it means to adapt, start over, and find steadiness in the middle of change.
She works exclusively with adults, focusing on anxiety, depression, PTSD, and life transitions. Her approach is straightforward, collaborative, and infused with humor because therapy does not have to feel heavy to be effective. Hadiya believes in meeting people exactly where they are and creating a space where progress feels possible, personal, and real.

BayLee Mares, Practice Manager
Every practice needs someone who keeps the wheels turning, and at Hey, You Need Therapy, that’s BayLee. Officially, she’s our Office Manager and Biller. Unofficially? She’s the Chaos Coordinator, Calendar Whisperer, and behind-the-scenes MVP. BayLee handles scheduling, billing, insurance, and just about every “Wait, who do I ask about this?” moment with warmth, humor, and a spreadsheet (or three).
Whether she’s wrangling claims or making sure your reminders go out on time, BayLee keeps our practice running so your sessions can stay focused on you. If something got done before you even realized it needed doing, that was probably BayLee.
And the best part? She can be your Girl Friday, too. Learn more about working with her here: www.maresadmin.com

Michael Buah, MA, NCC
Michael believes that the heart of effective therapy comes not just from learning evidence-based interventions, but from connecting with clients on a human level, meeting them with empathy, understanding, and respect.
He is energized by clients who are ready to engage in their healing journey, valuing vulnerability and a willingness to do the work. Michael finds meaning in celebrating the small wins with his clients, helping them recognize the progress they may not always see in themselves.
Michael’s approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in creating a safe space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported on their path toward growth and well-being.
