When More Support Is Needed

Seeking a higher level of care is not a failure or setback. Sometimes the safest and most effective support comes from services that can provide a greater level of structure, monitoring, medical intervention, or specialized treatment than outpatient therapy is designed to offer.

Depending on your needs, you may be better served by your local Community Services Board (CSB), behavioral health crisis center, crisis stabilization unit, detoxification program, substance use treatment provider, intensive outpatient program (IOP), partial hospitalization program (PHP), residential treatment center, or psychiatric hospital.

At Hey, You Need Therapy, our services are designed to support clients through outpatient therapy and coaching. While we are committed to providing compassionate and ethical care, we are not equipped to provide emergency services, crisis stabilization, detoxification, medication-assisted treatment, hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), partial hospitalization programs (PHP), residential treatment, or 24-hour monitoring services.

If you are experiencing thoughts of suicide, self-harm, homicidal ideation, a mental health emergency, active substance use requiring detoxification or a higher level of care, domestic violence that places you in immediate danger, or any situation requiring immediate intervention, please seek immediate support by calling 911, visiting your nearest emergency room, or contacting one of the resources below.

Finding Local Support

If you are unsure what level of care is appropriate, consider reaching out to your local Community Services Board (CSB), behavioral health authority, primary care provider, insurance company, or nearest emergency department for guidance.

You do not have to determine the “right” level of care alone. Support exists at every level, and connecting to the right fit matters.

A Final Note

Seeking more intensive support does not mean you have failed. It means you deserve care that matches what you are going through. Our hope is that you are connected with the level of support that keeps you safe and helps you move toward stability, healing, and recovery.
